TOPEKA – Megan Dreiling Dirks, formerly of Scott City, SCHS Class of 2004, will receive a Master of Science in Nursing Degree, with a family nurse practitioner major, at the Washburn University School of Nursing commencement event at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 in Lee Arena, Petro Allied Health Center.
She is the daughter of Douglas and Denise Dreiling and the daughter-in-law of Rick and LaNora Dirks, all of Scott City. She and her husband, Aaron, reside in Ottawa.

Hutchinson, Kan. –Hutchinson Community College has announced the 2011 list of graduates.
Sixty-one individuals received an Associate of Science degree at the graduation ceremonies held Friday, May 13. One hundred and thirty-one individuals received a Certificate of Completion at the graduation ceremonies.
Receiving her degree is Ericka Dawn Marie Wright.
Southwestern College held Commencement exercises Sunday, May 10, in Winfield, Kan. Nearly 750 students were eligible to participate. The ceremony was preceded by receptions for graduates and their families, and the Order of the Mound honorary society induction which represents the top 10% academically.
Southwestern College is a private institution granting undergraduate and graduate degrees and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. More than 1,900 students attend classes at the main Winfield campus, at five professional studies sites in Kansas and Oklahoma, or online around the world.
Earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree is Shellie S. Emahizer from Scott City.
The Scott Community High School FFA Chapter had a very impressive school year in 2010-2011. Much applause to these young people and their agricultural efforts!
