Many thanks to those of you who furnished cookies and candies for the annual Sugar Plum Sale, or helped through last Sunday afternoon. Shoppers were generous and sales plus donations brought in $832. We had lots of cookies and candies left Sunday evening, but a steady stream of shoppers Monday took care of the surplus!
The museum is beautifully decorated and Christmas music fills the air. Lorraine Stoll's Christmas Village display will remain in place through mid-January.
The gift shop is open and features one-of-a-kind items, fun toys, great books, stocking stuffers, Jerry Thomas commemoratives and Jerry Thomas prints. Don't forget the unique Scott County historic playing cards, which features 55 Scott County people or places. At $10 a deck, it's a keeper! We're open 1-5 daily now through the end of the year.
We appreciate every one of you! Thank you - Merry Christmas!
